The current economic issues do make us think on this 4th of July. Is it time to rethink what John Adams once said.
I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.
2nd President John Adams - (1735 - 1826)
The sacrifices of this great leaders gave us just that .
Now that the children(not to mention, immigrants) of America have the right to learn and practice whatever they want, what do we do now? Do we absorb ourselves into the sea of complacency and enjoy the benefits of what our ancestors laid down for us. Or do we work and hard and strive to maintain, improve and build a greater nation for generations to come?
The answer has to come from all of us.

Good ideas cannot sit and incubate forever, they need to materialize into reality.
Aggressively pursuing ideas and production ready results is the only way to compete. half baked products and concepts wont get you very far.
General Motors and Ford need to start worrying about breaking the downturn here.
Yes , the finance guys need to worry about sustaining the company and cutting costs and so on and so forth.
But what they really need is to go from a concept car to a real one in far less time than they have ever done before. Think outside the box, break all boundaries and deliver with the utmost dedication , a quality car which establishes a new image for the age old brands.
